The bite
A school trip, a lab, a spider. By morning the walls were optional and my alarm clock was in pieces.
Thwip.
Portfolio · Queens, New York · Est. 2002 (on screen)
Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Photographer by deadline, scientist by curiosity, hero because I couldn't not be.
Chapter 01 · Who's calling
That prickle at the back of my neck is my spider-sense. It tells me trouble is close before I can see it. Move your pointer around: hidden dangers light up as you get near. (On a phone? Watch it sweep on its own.)
Chapter 02 · Origin · 01 / 03
A school trip, a lab, a spider. By morning the walls were optional and my alarm clock was in pieces.
I learned the hard way what happens when I look away. Someone who believed in me paid for it. I carry that.
So I put on the mask. Not for glory — there's no cape, no pay. Because I can help, and so I must.
Chapter 03 · Motive & intention
I don't do this for the cape. There is no cape. I do it because I could stop it, and one time I didn't. With great power there must also come great responsibility. So I check the rooftops, then the small streets, then the people nobody is watching.
The neighborhood before the headline. A cat in a tree counts.
Homework, rent, Aunt May's calls. The mask doesn't replace the person.
Every bad night is data. I patch the suit and keep going.

“Where it started. Directed by Sam Raimi. First swing, first mistake, first promise.”
“I tried to quit. The city had other plans. Four arms, one very bad day.”

“A different Peter, a different lab. Directed by Marc Webb. Science and a skateboard.”
“The city lit up and so did he. Some lessons cost more than others.”
“My first Avengers-sized day. Got a new suit. Got a taste of the big leagues.”
“Back to the neighborhood. Directed by Jon Watts. School, homework, and a flying thief.”
“I don't feel so good. Neither did anyone in the theater.”
“Anyone can wear the mask. Won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.”
“Finished what we started. Everyone showed up.”
“A school trip through Europe. My spider-sense had notes about the illusions.”
“Three Peters, one rooftop. The biggest group project of my life.”
“The multiverse got bigger. So did the cast. So did the stakes.”
“Newest entry on file. Check the theater listings for the details.”
“Announced and in production. Not out yet — I'll be the one in line.”

Chapter 07 · Under the mask
Behind the mask, this site is the point: every effect here is hand-built engineering. Tune the web below and watch the physics respond.
// one tick of the web
for (const n of nodes) {
fx = -n.dx * stiffness; // spring home
fx += (avgNeighbours - n.dx) * 0.06; // waves travel
fx += toCursor * pull * falloff; // tug
n.vx = (n.vx + fx) * damping;
n.dx += n.vx;
}Canvas 2D web: per-node springs, neighbour coupling and cursor-velocity impulses, DPR-aware and paused off-screen.
GSAP ScrollTrigger: pinned chapters, scrubbed timelines, a horizontal strip and responsive matchMedia fallbacks.
Reticle cursor, silk trail, click-to-shoot webs, magnetic buttons, proximity radar and tilt cards.
Animation sticks to transform, opacity and clip-path, so the main thread stays free.
Reduced-motion paths, skip link, visible focus, keyboard-reachable controls and checked contrast.
Server-rendered shell with client islands, next/font, typed data and a design-token CSS system.
